Steel Island's concert and recording quality steelpans are expertly handcrafted from superior steel, sourced and selected by us, and personally inspected and fine-turned by Bertie Marshall, Trinidad's foremost tuner and originator of modern harmonic style tuning. Our steelpans are built under the direct supervision of renowned builder and tuner Tony Slater, Marshall's protege of 35 years, who provides our expert steelpan maintenance.
