The sound of steelpans and the rhythm of calypso immediately conjure up visions of the Caribbean with its beautiful beaches and swaying palms.  The body begins to move irresistibly to the beat.  Although this infectious sound is heard throughout the Caribbean, the steelpan was invented and evolved to the current state of the art, in Trinidad, the southern most island of the Caribbean, just outside its capitol city, Port of Spain.
